Teachers would have to decide how to use the series of books on Academic Writing at the different levels; this one and this one perhaps at the U.G level, and this one and this one at the P.G level. The last one in the row above would be especially useful for teacher-researchers.
Perhaps the best, and most comprehensive reference book on English grammar is the above book. A must-have book for teachers.

Books on ELT are mandatory reference books for teachers, especially because language teaching is what we are supposed to do most of the time. A few recommendations are given below.
We are also expected to teach language through literature for UG General English classes, essentially because our text books have quite a bit of content from literature. This book, therefore, could give us good insights into how this can be done.

This book by Elaine Showalter is a must for any teacher who teaches English literature to B.A English Main students or P.G English students. It offers pointers on how to bridge the gap between teaching English literature in India and outside.

The New Accents series from Routledge is another brilliant series for teachers-researchers of English literature. This series has in-depth, seminal texts on the current trends in critical and cultural studies. A selection is given below.
